Meet Scott…

After decades in the business world, I’ve decided it’s time to trade the spreadsheets for sawdust and smiles, and get back to the kind of work that brings me fulfillment.

I spent many years in corporate finance — building teams, managing businesses, and learning what it takes to deliver on promises. But before that chapter, I began my own renovation business in Northeast Pennsylvania.

Back then, I started with a pickup truck, a few tools, and a determination to do things the right way. Before long, Schultz’s Home Improvements had grown into a full crew, handling large additions, full-house remodels, custom renovations, and new builds. What I loved most wasn’t just the building — it was sitting with homeowners, listening to what they wanted, and helping them see new possibilities for their space. That’s what made the work special.

Now, as I step into this new chapter of life here in Taberna and the greater New Bern community, I’m coming full circle. My goal isn’t to build another big company. It’s to serve my neighbors with honest, skilled, detail-oriented work — the kind that makes your home a little more comfortable, a little more “you.”

What I Do

At this stage in life, I’m lucky enough to choose the kind of work that keeps me sharp, creative, and connected to the community I call home. If I can help you make your house feel a little more “you,” I’d be honored to be part of it.

These days, I focus on kitchen and bath upgrades, re-flooring, and smaller renovations — the kind of projects that make a real difference but don’t take an army of workers to get done right. I’m not a big outfit chasing the next contract. I’m a local craftsman who listens, shows up, and gets it done right.

I take on projects that one or two craftsmen can complete over a few weeks — where care, planning, and craftsmanship matter more than volume. I’ll never be the cheapest quote on the table, but I aim to be the one that leaves you saying, “I wish I’d called him sooner.”

How I Work

I believe in doing things the right way — showing up when I say I will, keeping a clean job site, and finishing every detail like it’s my own home. I don’t take shortcuts, and I don’t chase volume. I focus on quality, relationships, and community.

You won’t see me advertising all over town, because my best work comes from word-of-mouth — neighbors telling neighbors. That’s the way I like it.

When I’m Scheduling Work

I’ll start meeting with clients between March and May of 2026 to plan out the first round of projects kicking off in June or July 2026.

If you’d like to get on my early consultation list, let me know, and we’ll make sure your project is ready to roll when the time comes.

I’m proud to be part of this community and look forward to working with folks who value craftsmanship, honesty, and a handshake that still means something.

Professional. Reliable. Meticulous.

That’s still my promise to every client I serve.
